"Not only is Dr. Wolfe the coolest chiropractor in New York City, but she gets you the results you want and need.

Case in point: This past March of 2008 I was slowly losing the hearing in my right ear from what I thought was wax buildup (since I frequently play and listen to loud music) or a middle ear infection (since I was also sick around that time). I went to a clinic and was told I did not have any wax buildup, but that I may have a middle ear infection and was instructed to get a humidifier to combat the dry steam heat in my apartment and to breathe steam from a kettle for a few minutes every hour, among a few other things to try (thankfully the doctor at the clinic did not prescribe antibiotics for me).

This went on for three weeks and my condition only worsened to the point where my right ear completely closed up and I couldn't hear at all. Now I have been to Dr. Wolfe quite a few times before this incident, and her adjustments have always left me feeling great and more aligned and more pain free, but I never thought to go to her for a problem with my ear, I thought I'd need to go to an Otolaryngologist for that sort of thing, but on a whim I Googled middle ear issues and came across something about chiropractic helping ear problems.

So I called Dr. Wolfe's office up, spoke to Renee and setup an appointment for that very next day. After my adjustment and getting my neck "cracked", which is my favorite part it feels great, literally 45 minutes later as I was walking to the train, my ear started "popping" and opening up and I could hear again. It was a pretty amazing feeling and I honestly couldn't believe it. I don't know if something was getting pinched like a nerve or whatever, but after weeks of trying many other things and getting completely frustrated at not being able to hear and nothing else working, the results from just one adjustment were absolutely AMAZING. So amazing that I continue to go to Dr. Wolfe, in fact I'm going tomorrow."

Dr. Wolfe on the other hand, took X-rays, explained exactly what was off and what was good, what she needed to do and why, and gave me stretches to do at home. I was blown away. She also knows Kinesiology which is so important, I think it should be part of the required skills to get certified. "I lead a very active life, I travel a lot and thought nothing of running 6 miles. Unfortunately I herniated a lower disk doing yoga. For once in my life I wasn’t able to work through the pain. I couldn’t do any of the things I was used to doing! For nearly two years, I tried to avoid moving my hips much, hoping that my back would stabilize. It hurt when I woke up and tried to get out of bed, it hurt when I tried to stand on one leg to put on a shoe, or a pair of pants, it hurt when I walked, and I certainly wasn’t able to exercise in any way… I even transitioned my career because of the injury. After only a few adjustments with Lila, I felt better. Over the next month of adjustments the pain grew less intense and I was able to return to simple exercise. After a few more months, I was feeling much better. A year later, I’m back to rigorous exercise and it’s rare that I experience lower back pain at all.
